Speaking to the journalists in
Dar es Salaam today about Zanzibar tragedy, the CHADEMA General
Secretary, Dr Wilbroad Slaa has said things have been kept in ‘business
as usual’ system because the reports of disasters are not worked upon.
Dr Slaa said organizing
different Commissions to investigate on tragedies happening without
telling people the feedback is unacceptable.
“The MV Skagit disaster happens
just within one year. It should be remembered that MV Spice Islanders
happened last year, but no reports which are revealed. We want all
reports so that we can know who are responsible for all these.”
Also Dr Slaa asked the
government to work on the disaster management planning because the
country loses the important labour force from the disasters which can
be prevented.
