KOCHA Mkuu wa Simba SC, Profesa Milovan Cirkovick amesema kwamba ana uhakika wa kuifunga Azam FC katika mechi ya kugombea Ngao ya Jamii, mwisho mwa mwezi huu, Uwanja wa Taifa, Dar es Salaam.
Milovan amewataka mashabiki wa Simba wasikatishwe tamaa na kipigo cha jana cha mabao 3-1 kutoka kwa Nairobi City Stars ya Kenya, kwani alikuwa anajaribu wachezaji na alitaka amuone kila mchezaji.
Milovan alisema wiki mbili zitatosha kabisa kutengeneza mfumo na kikosi cha ushindi, kwani ana wachezaji wazuri katika timu.
“Sina wasiwasi, nina muda wa kutosha kabisa, watu watulie, baada ya wiki mbili wataona mabadiliko makubwa,”alisema Profesa Milovan.
Jana Simba SC ilifungwa mabao 3-1 na Nairobi City Stars katika Uwanja wa Taifa, Dar es Salaam katika mechi ya kirafiki iliyochezwa sambamba na Simba Day.
Lakini kufungwa huko kwa Simba kulitokana na kocha Milovan kubadilisha karibu kikosi kizima kilichoanza na kuingiza wachezaji wapya, ambao waliitoa City Stars ya Nairobi nyuma kwa 1-0 na kuipa ushindi wa 3-1.
Simba ilitangulia kupata bao kupitia kwa Felix Sunzu dakika ya 15, pasi ya Mwinyi Kazimot na ilikwenda kupiumzika ikiwa mbele kwa bao hilo.
Lakini kipindi cha pili, kipa aliyempokea Juma Kaseja, Hamadi Waziri alitunguliwa mabao matatu katika dakika 57 na Duncan Owiti, dakika ya 64 na Bruno Okullu na dakika ya 79 na Boniphace Onyango.  
Mapema katika tamasha hilo, Simba ilitoa tuzo mbalimbali kwa wachezaji wa sasa na wa zamani kwa mchango wao kwenye klabu hiyo, pamoja na baadhi ya wadau wake.
Waliopewa tuzo kwa wachezaji wa sasa, ni Shomary Kapombe (Nidhamu), Emmanuel Okwi (Mchezaji bora wa msimu) na marehemu Patrick Mfisango (Heshima).
Wa zamani ni Haidari Abeid ‘Muchacho’ (Mchezaji Bora miaka ya 1970), Hamisi Kilomoni (Mchezaji Bora Miaka ya 1960), Ally Sykes (Heshima, Udhamini), Profesa Philemon Sarungi (Mchango wa muda mrefu klabuni) na Gaorge Kavishe, Meneja wa Kilimanjaro Beer, Wadhamini wa sasa wa Simba SC.
Katika mechi ya kwanza, timu na wanawake ya Simba, Simba Queens mchana, iliifunga Ever Green ya Temeke mabao 5-3 katika mchezo wa Ligi ya Wanawake, Dar es Salaam uliokwenda sambamba na tamasha la Simba Day, Uwanja wa Taifa, Dar es Salaam.
Shujaa wa Simba alikuwa ni Maimuna Hamisi ‘Ronaldo’ aliyefunga mabao matatu, katika dakika za tano, 62 na 64, wakati mabao mengine ya Malkia wa Msimbazi, walio chini ya kocha Anthony Makunja, yalifungwa na Grace Tony dakika ya 48 na Neema Kuga dakika ya 59.
Mabao ya Ever Green yalifungwa na Sherida Boniface dakika ya 53, Vumilia Maarifa dakika ya 55 na Amina Siraj dakika ya 61.

Mushikiwabo to UN: Enhance civilian protection

By Eugene Kwibuka Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation has urged the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to invest more energy in the prevention of conflicts for better protection of civilians living in conflict-torn areas. Rwanda’s Foreign minister, Louise Mushikiwabo Louise Mushikiwabo made the call during an open debate on the protection of civilians in armed conflict which the UNSC held in New York on Tuesday. “Rwanda’s core message today is that enhancing the protection of civilians in armed conflict requires action before a conflict starts.
