Waziri wa Uchukuzi Dkt. Harisson Mwakyembe amemsimamisha kazi Mkurugenzi Mkuu wa Mamlaka ya Usimamizi wa Bandari-TPA-Ndugu Ephrahim Mgawe pamoja na wasaidizi wake wawili ili kupisha uchunguzi wa tuhuma zinazowakabili.
Wengine waliosimamishwa ni Meneja wa Mafuta ya Ndege Kurasini, Meneja wa JET na Meneja wa Oil Terminal kutokana na tuhuma za kupotea kwa mafuta na kuidanganya serikali kuhusu mafuta masafi na machafu.
Kutokana na kuwasimamisha kazi Wakurugenzi hao, Dkt. Harisson Mwakyembe amemteua Injinia Madeni Kipange kukaimu nafasi ya Mkurugenzi Mkuu wa TPA.
Kufuatia tuhuma hizo zinazofanywa Bandarini, Dkt. Mwakyembe ameunda Tume ya watu saba kufanya uchunguzi kwa wiki mbili na kumpelekea taarifa ofisini kwake ili kubaini ukweli wa tuhuma hizo zikiwemo za wizi.
Pia ameagiaza kufikia Septemba Mosi mwaka huu malipo yote yafanyike benki ili kuondoa rushwa na wizi unaofanyika ndani ya Mamlaka hiyo.
Waziri Mwakyembe anachukua hatua hizo kutokana na wadau wengi sasa hawaitumii Bandari ya Dar es Salaam kupitisha mizigo yao kutokana na kutokuwa na imani na watumishi wake hatua inayoifanya serikali kukosa mapato.
Pia ameagiza kusimamishwa mara moja kwa Kampuni ya Singilimo ambayo inajihusisha na kazi ya kubeba mafuta machafu na badala yake itafutwe Kampuni nyingine.

Mushikiwabo to UN: Enhance civilian protection

By Eugene Kwibuka Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation has urged the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to invest more energy in the prevention of conflicts for better protection of civilians living in conflict-torn areas. Rwanda’s Foreign minister, Louise Mushikiwabo Louise Mushikiwabo made the call during an open debate on the protection of civilians in armed conflict which the UNSC held in New York on Tuesday. “Rwanda’s core message today is that enhancing the protection of civilians in armed conflict requires action before a conflict starts. The proliferation of non-state armed groups makes civilian protection both more urgent, and harder to achieve,” she said.
