Queen Latifah, Terrence Howard To Star In House of Bodies

Queen Latifah, Terrence Howard, Peter Fonda and Alexz Johnson are set to star in the indie thriller “House of Bodies,” which Alex Merkin (“Across the Hall”) will direct from a script by Eddie Harris.
Pic is just starting production at Latifah and Shakim Compere‘s Miami-based Flavor Unit Studios.
Story follows Kyle, a deaf child who enjoys chatting online with Nicole (Latifah), a relay operator at a telephone service for the hearing-impaired. Kyle’s fascination with the macabre leads him to explore the House of Bodies, a voyeur website based out of the former home of serial killer Henry Lee Bishop (Fonda), now on death row. When police discover a string of grisly copycat murders, a detective (Howard) must race to uncover the mystery.
Compere produces the pic, while Latifah exec produces with Otis Best, Yaneley Arty and Shelby Stone.
Latifah, who recently starred opposite Dolly Parton in “Joyful Noise,” just signed on to topline Lifetime’s “Steel Magnolias</strong>” remake.
Howard recently starred in “Red Tails” and just wrapped Robert Redford’s political thriller “The Company You Keep.” Thesp will soon be seen in Walter Salles’ adaptation of “On the Road.”
Howard and Latifah starred together in the 2007 film, “The Perfect Christmas.”
Fonda co-stars alongside Claire Danes and James Marsden in the upcoming indie dramedy “As Cool as I Am.

Uganda Police issue fresh terror alert

Police spokesperson Judith Nabakooba “We have received a security notification in form of an orange notice of four terrorists originating from Kazakhstan who are planning to travel to foreign countries in order to commit attacks and participate in hostile acts,” Police spokesperson Judith Nabakooba said in a statement on Monday. Nabakooba named the four active members of radical organizations as; Nassiruauly Kairat, Umurzakov Marat Eskendirovich, Kovtun Denis Valerevich and Mazhibayen Alimzhan Akhlazhanovich. Mushikiwabo to UN: Enhance civilian protection

By Eugene Kwibuka Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation has urged the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to invest more energy in the prevention of conflicts for better protection of civilians living in conflict-torn areas. Rwanda’s Foreign minister, Louise Mushikiwabo Louise Mushikiwabo made the call during an open debate on the protection of civilians in armed conflict which the UNSC held in New York on Tuesday. “Rwanda’s core message today is that enhancing the protection of civilians in armed conflict requires action before a conflict starts. The proliferation of non-state armed groups makes civilian protection both more urgent, and harder to achieve,” she said.
