Mtu mmoja amefariki Dunia Mkoani Dodoma katika tukio la ajali ya gari kumgonga mtembea kwa miguu na kusababisha kifo.

Tukio hilo limetokea tarehe 14/01/2013 majira ya saa 09:30 alasiri katika kijiji cha Kelema Wilaya ya Chemba barabara ya DODOMA -KONDOA baada ya gari lenye namba za usajili T. 769 BNP aina ya Scania Bus mali ya Kampuni ya Champion likendeshwa na dereva aliyefahamika kwa jina la George s/o Maiko Kwayu likitokea Dodoma kuelekea Kondoa kumgonga mtembea kwa miguu na kumsababishia kifo chake papo hapo.
Marehemu ametambuliwa kuwa ni Mohamed s/o Hassan mwenye umri wa Miaka(110) Mrangi ambaye ni mkazi wa kijiji cha Kalamba kuu Kelema wilayani Chemba.
Uchunguzi wa awali unaonyesha kuwa chanzo cha ajali hiyo ni uzembe wa Dereva kwa kutokuwa mwangalifu kwa watumiaji wengine wa barabara kwani alikuwa katika mwendo wa kasi katika eneo lenye makazi ya watu kinyume na sheria za usalama barabarani zinavyoelekeza.
Madereva wanatakiwa kujua na kuzingatia ni mwendo gani watumie katika maeneo tofauti wanayopita, kama Kifungu namba 51, kifungu kidogo cha 8 (a) cha sheria ya Usalama barabarani ya Mwaka 1973 iliyofanyiwa marekebisho mwaka 2002 sura ya 168 ambayo inatamka bayana kwamba mtu yeyote anayetumia chombo cha moto barabarani haruhusiwi kuendesha chombo hicho zaidi ya spidi 50 kwenye makazi ya watu.

Mushikiwabo to UN: Enhance civilian protection

By Eugene Kwibuka Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation has urged the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to invest more energy in the prevention of conflicts for better protection of civilians living in conflict-torn areas. Rwanda’s Foreign minister, Louise Mushikiwabo Louise Mushikiwabo made the call during an open debate on the protection of civilians in armed conflict which the UNSC held in New York on Tuesday. “Rwanda’s core message today is that enhancing the protection of civilians in armed conflict requires action before a conflict starts. The proliferation of non-state armed groups makes civilian protection both more urgent, and harder to achieve,” she said.
