Mbunge wa jimbo la Singida mashariki kupitia CHADEMA, Tundu Lissu, amepata wakati mgumu baada mmoja wa wapiga kura wake kumtaka amweleze ni kwa nini amekuwa akijikita kutetea wahalifu wa wazi wazi.

Diwani wa CHADEMA kata ya Mungaa jimbo la Singida Mashariki, Matheo Alex (wa pili kushoto aliyenyanyua mkono juu) akiwa katika chumba cha mahakama ya hakimu mkazi mjini Singida akisubiri kusomewa shitaka lake la kukata kata ng’ombe sita mali ya Mary John mkazi wa kijiji cha Minyinga kata ya Mungaa.Wa pili kulia ni mtoto wa diwani Alex, Faraja na wa pili kushoto Bahati Sumbe (mwenye jacketi la njano) wameunganishwa kwenye kesi moja na diwani Alex.
Mkazi wa jimbo la Singida mashariki, John Theodore Ghumpi alimbana vilivyo Tundu ambaye ni mwanasheria maarufu, muda mfupi baada ya kusimamia kesi ya diwani wa CHADEMA kata ya Mungaa Matheo Alex na wenzake wawili wanaotuhumiwa kukata kata ng’ombe sita kwa shoka mali ya Ghumpi.
“Kwa kifupi mimi sina ugomvi wo wote na CHADEMA wala na wewe Tundu, wewe licha ya kuwa ni ndugu wa ukoo, wewe ni mbunge wangu pia. Sasa unapojikita kubariki uhalifu kama huu wa kukata kata ng’ombe wangu,kwangu mimi unanipa wakati mgumu mno kukuelewa”,amesema Ghumpi.
Hata hivyo,Tundu alisema kuwa washitakiwa na walalamikaji katika kesi ya kukata kata ng’ombe sita,wote ni wapiga kuwara wake na wananchi wake wa jimbo la Singida mashariki,na hivyo ana wajibu wa kuwatumikia kwa usawa.
Kutokana na kibano hicho,wakili anayewatetea washitakiwa hao watatu, Tundu Lissu,alilazimika kufuatana na Ghumpi kwenda kijiji cha Minyinga kuangalia ng’ombe wanaodaiwa kukatwa katwa na wateja wake akina Matheo.

Mushikiwabo to UN: Enhance civilian protection

By Eugene Kwibuka Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation has urged the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to invest more energy in the prevention of conflicts for better protection of civilians living in conflict-torn areas. Rwanda’s Foreign minister, Louise Mushikiwabo Louise Mushikiwabo made the call during an open debate on the protection of civilians in armed conflict which the UNSC held in New York on Tuesday. “Rwanda’s core message today is that enhancing the protection of civilians in armed conflict requires action before a conflict starts. The proliferation of non-state armed groups makes civilian protection both more urgent, and harder to achieve,” she said.
