Akiongea na waandishi wa Habari leo Kamanda wa Polisi Mkoa wa Ilala, Faustine Shilogile alisema tukio la kujinyonga lilitokea jana majira ya saa tatu na nusu asubuhi huko Kitunda Machimbo, mwanamke mmoja aliyetambuliwa kwa jina la Paulina Nyambega(75) akiwa bafuni amejinyonga kwa kutumia mtandio aliyoutundika kwenye dali la bufu hiyo.
Aidha inadaiwa marehemu alifika nyumbani hapo kwa mkwewe Christine Julius(33) akitokea Tarime miezi miwili iliyopita, hata hivyo awali inadaiwa marehemu aliwahi kutamka kua amebakiza siku chache za kuishi hivyo anataka kugawa urithi kwa watoto wake wote.
Mwili wa marehemu umehifadhiwa Hospitali ya Amana na sababu za kupelekea kujinyonga hazijafahamika.
Katika tukio jingine, Kamanda Shilogile alisema gari aina la Fuso namba T433ABY aina ya Benz Truck lilimkanyaga kichwa mzoa takataka na kusababisha kifo chake papo hapo.
Akielezea ajali hiyo, Shilogile alisema kua tukio hilo lilitokea juzi majira ya saa moja usiku, wakati gari hilo linafanya shughuli za kubeba takataka Manispaa ya Ilala, likiendeshwa na Moses Peter(38) lilipofika barabara ya Morogoro kuelekea Kigogo Sambusa, ghafla mtu mmoja mwanaume ambaye bado hajafahamika kwa jina anayekadiliwa kuwa na umri wa miaka (20-25) alidondoka chini ya tairi na kukanyagwa kichwa na matairi ya gari hilo na kupelekea kifo chake.
Shilogile alisema kua marehemu alivaa kaptula ya jinsi,fulana nyeusi na raba nyeupe, mwili wake umehifadhiwa katika Hospitali ya Muhimbili na dereva amekamatwa.

Mbali na tukio hilo, Kamanda Shilogile alisema mpita njia mwamke aliyefahamika kwa jina la Honolinda Kimbavala (49), alifariki dunia papo hapo baada ya kugongwa na gari aina ya Scania yenye namba T 567 ACE, iliyokua na trela namba T 227 ABU iliyokua ikiendeshwa na Thomas Isack (26).
Shilogile alisema kua ajali hiyo ilitokea majira ya saa tatu asubuhi katika barabara ya Nyerere eneo la Tazara, Maiti imehifadhiwa Hospitali ya Temeke na dereva amekamatwa. Katika tukio jingine, mtoto wa siku moja aliokotwa akiwa ndani ya mfuko wa kaki huko maeneo ya Kigamboni magongoni akiwa ametupwa na mwanamke asiyejulikana.
Akiongea na waandishi wa habari, Kamamnda wa Polisi mkoa wa Temeke David Msiime alisema kua tukio hilo lilitokea juzi majira ya saa nne na nusu asubuhi, kichanga hicho kiliokotwa na wapiti njia.

Kamanda Msiime alisema kichanga hicho kimehifadhiwa Hospitali ya Muhimbili na hali ya mtoto huyo inaendelea vizuri.
Upelelezi wa kumsaka mwanamke aliyefanya tukio hilo unaendelea.

Mushikiwabo to UN: Enhance civilian protection

By Eugene Kwibuka Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation has urged the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to invest more energy in the prevention of conflicts for better protection of civilians living in conflict-torn areas.
