Mwelekeo wa Kimbunga "HELLEN" na hali ya Mvua



Mamlaka ya Hali ya Hewa imeendelea kufuatilia kwa karibu mifumo ya hali ya hewa na mabadiliko yake pamoja na adhari zake kwa Nchi yetu na kutoa utabiri na tahadhari za hali mbaya ya hewa.
Tarahe 28 Machi 2014 mgandamizo mdogo wa hewa katika eneo la Rasi ya Msumbiji kusini magharibi mwa bahari ya Hindi ulianza kuimarika zaidi na kusababisha kuwepo kwa makutano ya upepo na mwelekeo wa vipindi vya mvua kubwa katika maeneo mengi nchini.
Tarehe 29 Machi 2014 mgandamizo huo wa hewa (Tropical Depression) uliimarika zaidi na kuwa kimbunga kilichopewa jina 'Hellen' (Tropical Cyclone) uchambuzi ulionesha kuwa kimbunga 'Hellen' kilitarajiwa kuongezeka nguvu (Severe Tropical Cyclone) na kusababisha aongezeko zaidi la mvua na upepo mkali.
Hivyo maeneo yafuatayo yalitabiriwa kuwa na adhari zaidi za mabadiliko hayo kuanzia tarehe 30 Machi hadi 01 April 2014 ; Mikoa ya Mtwara, Lindi, Pwani, Dar es Salaam, Tanga, visiwa vya Unguja na Pemba, pamoja na mikoa ya Dodoma, Singida, Ruvuma, Katavi, Njombe, Iringa, Mbeya na Morogoro.

Viwango vya mvua zaidi ya mm 50 kwa saa 24 zilizopimwa tarehe 30 Machi hadi Asubuhi ya tarehe 01 Aprili 2014.

Mwenendo wa Kimbunga Hellen katika kipindi cha saa 24 Zilizopita.
Katika kipindi hicho nguvu ya Kimbunga 'Hellen' ilibadilika mara kwa mara na katika vipindi vifupi hususan kilipokaribia pwani ya kaskazini magharibi mwa kisiwa cha Madagasca, hivyo kubadili pia mifumo ya hali ya hewa na viwango vya mvua vilivyotarajiwa katika baadhi ya maeneo ambayo tahadhari ilitolewa.
Hata hivyo kimbunga 'Hellen' bado kipo katika eneo la rasi ya Msumbiji karibu na pwani ya Kisiwa cha Madagascar ambapo kitaendelea kusababisha mabadiliko ya mvua katika maeneo machache, hususan katika Mikoa ya Mtwara, Lindi, Ruvuma, Njombe, Mbeya na Rukwa.

Mvua za Masika zinatarajiwa kuendelea katika maeneo mbalimbali nchini kama zilivyotabiriwa. Mamlaka inaendelea kufuatilia mifumo ya hali ya hewa na kutoa taarifa na tahadhari kila inapobidi.

Mushikiwabo to UN: Enhance civilian protection

By Eugene Kwibuka Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation has urged the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to invest more energy in the prevention of conflicts for better protection of civilians living in conflict-torn areas.
