Details Surrounding Jay-Z's Memoir 'Decoded' Released

Details of Jay-Z's highly anticipated memoir Decoded have hit the Internet.

According to Billboard.com, the book, which features an image of Andy Warhol's "Rorschach," and will come fully illustrated.

The book "decodes" 36 songs from Jay-Z's catalog the rapper explained in an excerpt from the book.

"When I first started working on this book, I told my editor that I wanted it to do three important things," Jay-Z said. "The first was to make the case that hip-hop lyrics-not just my lyrics, but those of every great MC-are poetry if you look at them closely enough. The second was I wanted the book to tell a little bit of the story of my generation, to show the context for the choices we made at a violent and chaotic crossroads in recent history. And the third piece was that I wanted the book to show how hip-hop created a way to take a very specific and powerful experience and turn it into a story that everyone in the world could feel and relate to."

Decoded, which is being published by Random House, will come as an Ebook.

Billboard reports that the book will also come an as interactive App that will include exclusive content.

Decoded is due in stores November 16th.

Uganda Police issue fresh terror alert

Police spokesperson Judith Nabakooba “We have received a security notification in form of an orange notice of four terrorists originating from Kazakhstan who are planning to travel to foreign countries in order to commit attacks and participate in hostile acts,” Police spokesperson Judith Nabakooba said in a statement on Monday. Mushikiwabo to UN: Enhance civilian protection

By Eugene Kwibuka Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation has urged the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to invest more energy in the prevention of conflicts for better protection of civilians living in conflict-torn areas. Rwanda’s Foreign minister, Louise Mushikiwabo Louise Mushikiwabo made the call during an open debate on the protection of civilians in armed conflict which the UNSC held in New York on Tuesday. “Rwanda’s core message today is that enhancing the protection of civilians in armed conflict requires action before a conflict starts. The proliferation of non-state armed groups makes civilian protection both more urgent, and harder to achieve,” she said.
